Commission a Portrait from Paul Morin A portrait of you or your loved one is a timeless record of a life lived. It is a unique gift to the future – a one-of-a-kind heirloom that not only records a likeness to future generations, but also documents a time, a place and a soul. It is an intimate dialogue between sitter and artist – powerfully revealing both the outward and inner beauty of the subject. Commissioning a portrait couldn’t be easier! After an initial meeting to determine basic portrait design, canvas size, pose, type of clothing, setting and lighting, I will schedule a photo session. At this time, I will take a variety of poses including some “close-up” photographs and color notes which will aid in the creation of the portrait. A 40% deposit is required at the photo session. After we have agreed on a pose and a “concept,” I will begin work. The process for completing a portrait will take anywhere from 3-8 months. When it is nearing completion, I will show it to you either at my studio, or via digital imaging for final approval. Any touch-ups can be made at this time. The painting will be delivered when dry, unframed. At this point I will schedule a time for final varnishing if needed (6 months to 1 year from completion). I will also be happy to consult with you on framing. |
